Sweet Shuu (やさしい岩峰先生 lit. "gentle doctor Iwamine") runs the infirmary at St. Pigeonation's, and is an alternative universe April Fools' character. He has not appeared in any proper Hatoful Boyfriend media aside from his titular HatofulWEB episodes, Sweet Shuu (番外編 「岩峰先生ほのぼの相談室」).
In contrast to the canon Shuu, this partridge is a kind and gentle soul that strives to make the world a better place. He accomplishes this by creating medicine, funding helpful organizations, and helping just about anyone that he can with his reliable advice.
This is a timeline where he never began the mission of bioterrorism on the human race, and therefore the events of BBL never took place. As a result, both Nageki and Kazuaki are alive. Because they are both gloomy characters, his hope-fueling nature caters especially to them.
Physical Description[]
He looks pretty much identical to Shuu Iwamine.
It is implied that he has a much more "healthy" looking appearance, because he practices self care and health unlike canon Shuu, who is more of a sickly little loser.
Apparently, he also wears pink frilly panties, but only for occasions where he predicts he'll be asked about his underwear.
Although he is a generally healthy and fluffy bird, in illustrations, he is featured wearing the same kind of glasses as canon Shuu suggesting that his eyesight is just as impaired as him. This all implies that as Utsuro Ichijou, he survived the terrorist bombing that left him with the same disabilities as canon Shuu.
Sweet Shuu carries on though, with a gentle smile on his face, which you definitely won't see on canon Shuu.
Personality and Traits[]
Sweet Shuu is a humble, selfless bird that devotes his being to helping everyone around him and beyond that. His advice is reliable and medically approved. His help isn't just limited to physical health though. He encourages birds to speak to him about their interpersonal problems as well, and like a therapist, swears that everything that's said remains just between him and the other person.
Even upon receiving a message from a fan that confesses to fantasizing about murder, he bravely encourages the user to come to him to seek safe and non-violent emotional support.
He sadly doesn't reveal much about his personal life in the WEB episodes, but from answered questions, he confirms that he keeps in shape with frequent jogging by the riverside.

Etymology[]
Shuu consists of the kanji character 舟 (shū), "boat, ship". Iwamine consists of the kanji characters 岩 (iwa), "boulder, rock, cliff", and 峰 (mine), "peak, summit, back of a blade".
Additionally, the Japanese word for "chukar patridge" is 岩鷓鴣/イワシャコ (iwashako). The first character appears in his name.

- Sweet Shuu is credited with developing a nasal treatment that eradicated hay fever.
