Azami Koshiba (小柴 アザミ) is a Java sparrow who sells takoyaki in Littledove Hachiman City. She possesses excellent fighting skills and an extreme amount of cool, plus a whole lot of caution when it comes to traveling the roads on her trusty pink scooter.

She is part of a side-story that is available during summer. She can only be found in the full version of Hatoful Boyfriend: A School of Hope and White Wings.

Physical Description

As a human, Azami has tan skin, a fit body type, and shoulder-length grey hair. It's spiky, with white tips. Her eyes are sharp and hot pink. She always wears a pink medical mask over her face. She wears a necklace with a lilac octopus pendant, as well as pink earrings. She wears a white bra top, and light-creamy, ripped jean-shorts, held by a pink belt. She wears a long grey coat with the complicated kanji spelling of "sakura bunchou" written in yellow on it. The sleeves are cuffed. A white band is wrapped around her left arm with a cherry blossom symbol on it. Hot pink fingerless gloves are on her hands. And finally, knee-high, black tabi boots.

She has been drawn without her mask, there appears to be nothing special hidden underneath there.

Personality and Traits

Etymology

Azami consists of the kana ア(a) ザ(za) ミ(mi), meaning "thistle flower".

Koshiba consists of the kanji characters 小 (ko), "small, little" and 柴 (shiba) "brush, firewood".

Trivia

  • Quoting Nazerine: "I was curious myself, so I just asked Moa, the characters on Azami's coat are an extremely complicated way of spelling "Sakura Bunchou", which is the Japanese name for her species. As I imagine a number of us know, Japanese biker gangs often write everyday words with overly convoluted Chinese-character spellings on their coats, so it makes sense."
  • Azami is one of the several characters whose models originate from the real-life Torimi Cafe. Her name stems from her model's, who is named Koshiba-san.
  • Azami's species, sakura bunchou, is named after cherry blossoms, hence the symbolism and motifs used in her character design.
